FMA Community

FMA’s Community Starts With You

For the better part of six decades, the Florida Magazine Association has proudly represented the publishing interests of a state with more than 200 association, trade/technical and consumer publications. Without members like you, FMA cannot accomplish its ambitious goals or promote the publishing industry in Florida. We hope you will become involved and encourage others to join the FMA as it strengthens relationships between its members and other publishing professionals and businesses.

Here’s how you can become involved with FMA:

  • Attend the Annual Publishing Conference and Expo. The educational tracks at the annual conference include editorial, design, digital, marketing and much more. The expo is the ONLY one in Florida where national, state and local publishing suppliers meet in one room to give members information on their latest products, services and promotions.  This is a great way to network and come away with new ideas on how to meet your goals.

  • Join a committee. There are a variety of committees that would welcome your input and assistance. Committees include the Annual Conference Committee, the Charlie Awards Committee, the Membership & Marketing Committee and the Data Resource & Web site Committee.  The only way to make the association grow and help us deliver what the members want is to make your voice heard. • Invite others in your area to join the FMA. Let your contacts know that you are a member. So as the FMA grows, it can better represent the interests of Florida’s magazine industry.

  • Visit FMA’s Web site at www.floridamagazine.org to find out more information on current events, programs, magazine news and other resourceful links. FMA also maintains an up-to-date listing of current employment opportunities throughout Florida.

  • Take advantage of FMA’s Member Benefit Program. FMA has partnered with several industry professionals that offer FMA members discounts on products and services. Help support the companies that are supporting our industry.

The FMA is dedicated to helping you be more successful in your career and in your magazine endeavors. As a benefit of membership, FMA sends an electronic newsletter periodically along with e-mails throughout the year with alerts and announcements concerning the industry. Please ask your colleagues within your office to send us their contact information so that they can receive these special emails. All employees at your company are members of the FMA, so make sure they are receiving the information as well. They can click on the following to add themselves FMA Mailing List. Thank you for being a part of the FMA and remaining a part of Florida’s publishing family. If you have questions, call the FMA office at (866) 885-1156.
